1. Powertec MT4009 Rolling Foldable Table Saw Stand
Our Rating: 9/10
The Powertec MT4009 table saw stand is a portable, functional and sturdy stand that is ideal for jobsite use. It features both a rolling and folding feature which is not only ideal for storage but also for portability on the jobsite.
The two adjustable steel plates are solid and rigid for stability when mounting a saw. Plus, the spaced slots allow for universal mounting of a range of table saws.
The portability and functionality for jobsite use is the key feature with this product. The 8” high traction wheels are ideal for mobility on and around the jobsite.
The quick release locking pin lever allows for ease of folding and storage.
The table saw’s mounting feature on this stand is not only secure during use but you can also store the stand with or without the saw attached by utilizing the wide foot support to further increase portability.
In terms of build quality, the stand is made from a steel body and features steel mounting plates for durability and the adjustable rubber stop feet allow for a solid base of support when in use.
Portability: The rolling and folding feature is ideal for moving between jobsites and the table can be stored with or without a saw attached.
Universal Mounting: The steel mounting plates have a range of pre-drilled holes to allow for universal tool mounting and it also comes with hardware for attachment included.
Quick Setup: The ergonomic quick-release locking pin allows for fast setup and take down.
Slightly Narrow: A few people have issues with the width of the stand and feel it’s too narrow but we’d advise measuring your table saw first as this will quickly determine the suitability.
2. BOSCH TS2100 Gravity-Rise Table Saw Stand
Our Rating: 9/10
The Bosch TS2100 table saw stand is a high-end, contractor stand that is well suited for jobsite use.
Bosch is known for creating durable, contractor ready products and this stand goes a step further by providing universal mounting holes that they specify can actually be used for competitors’ table saws. This is in contrast to many other brands that will only design products to work in compatibility with their own products.
The gravity rise system is an ergonomic feature to provide maximum comfort when working. A simple release lever allows the user to easily adjust the height of the stand by applying pressure to the table to set it to your ideal working height.
The non-flat 8” tires are perfectly suited for moving around the jobsite with ease and you’ll be safe in the knowledge that the tires will never go flat regardless of how rough the working environment.
The stand itself features a powder coat finish for longevity, solid steel construct for durability and quick folding mechanism making this table saw stand both durable and portable for all contractor and woodworker needs.
Universal Mounting Holes: Bosch specifies that this stand is actually made to support competitors’ table saws.
Comfortable: This ergonomic feature allows the user to adjust the table to their specified height in order to reduce backache or discomfort when working.
Portable: The quick set up, take down and rolling design makes it easy to move your table saw to, from and around the jobsite for maximum portability.
Durble: The non-flat tires means you’ll never have an issue with flat tires when moving around the jobsite.
Weight Capacity: A 250lb weight capacity is more than enough to support most woodworking jobs but it’s still on the low end when compared with other table saw stands.
Price: This is a premium product and might be out of the price range for some hobbyist woodworkers.
3. Keter Folding Table Work Bench
Our Rating: 8.5/10
The Keter folding workbench is designed to handle a maximum load for all heavy-duty contractors (or hobbyist) needs. The 1000lb weight capacity is definitely on the higher end of stand capacities and should hold up well to most jobsite use.
The quick-release tabs allow you to set up or take down the stand in less than 30 seconds and the stand folds down to only 4” in depth for ease of storage and portability. An important feature is that the legs are collapsible and fold into the table (most tables require the legs to be dismantled for transportation or storage).
The built-in handle also makes it very easy to carry this stand around for jobsite use and overall, weighing only 30lbs it’s a very versatile and portable stand.
This stand is made with heavy-duty resin supported by aluminum legs and while we prefer steel constructs for durability, the resin table is weather-resistant and rust-free which is a useful feature for product longevity.
The stand does come with solid locking clamps for securing a table saw in place however, it’s worth noting that this wouldn’t be as stable as securing it via mounting holes so it’s worth keeping this in mind if you have a larger table saw that might overhang (especially when you extend your table saw’s fence).
Heavy-Duty: A 1000lb weight capacity easily supports most table saws and heavy stock/tools.
Great Warranty: A 2-year warranty means you can put this stand to the test safe in the knowledge that it’s warranty backed.
Quick Setup: The setup and takedown time is incredibly quick and efficient at less than 30 seconds in total.
Low Maintenance: The weatherproof, rust-free stand is low maintenance and easy to clean.
Mounting: The stand has multiple clamping points and can support the weight of a table saw though specific mounting holes would significantly increase the stability.
Non-Replaceable Parts: The stand does not have replaceable parts so once damaged it will mean needing to buy a completely new stand as a replacement.
4. Worx WX066 Sidekick Portable Work Table
Our Rating: 8/10
The Worx WX066 is a lightweight and portable stand that is surprisingly sturdy. This is one of the most inexpensive stands that we’ve come across and the high ratings and reviews are a testament to the value for money of this product.
A detachable tabletop can be folded into an incredibly portable and convenient carry case for ease of transportation. The stand is both lightweight and compact weighing only 13lbs in total and despite this, the stand can still support a maximum saw (or other tools) weight of up to 300lbs.
A unique feature on this table stand is the link locks that come included. The table dimensions of 24” x 24” are not the largest but the link locks allow this table to be connected to other Worx tables in order to customize your work benches for a portable and unique workstation.
The steel ‘spider-like’ legs on this stand are deceptively solid and durable, though the plastic table surface is one drawback to this stand. It’s far from flimsy or structurally weak but a steel surface would of course prove more durable in the long term.
Portability: The stand folds into a handy carry case in seconds allowing for quick and easy transportation.
Lightweight: Despite weighing only 13lbs the stand can still hold a maximum weight of up to 300lbs.
Highly Rated: Due to the versatility, price and multi-functional use of this table you’ll find that it comes very highly rated by the majority of customers.
Additional Features: The Worx WX066 can be linked with other Worx tables in order to custom build a large and portable workspace.
Build: While the steel legs provide solid support, a plastic table surface is not as durable as some of the steel options on this list.
Dimensions: The 24” x 24” table surface dimensions are on the smaller side and may not support all sized table saws.
5. Powertec UT1002 Universal Tool Stand
Our Rating: 8/10
The second Powertec stand on this list is a more universal tool stand rather than a specific table saw stand to allow for some versatility and variation in use.
The standout feature on this product is the 500lb weight capacity. A heavy-duty, steel construction with MDF table surface means that this stand will easily support most portable table saws and power tools.
The dual shelves and expandable tabletop offer versatile use for storage during use whilst also having an extending option to support larger tools if required (extend dimension are 25” x 20”).
While this stand is certainly light enough to move around the workshop or jobsite with ease, it doesn’t feature a foldable or compact design that many other stands provide and therefore we wouldn’t recommend this if you are looking for a more portable stand to take between jobsites.
There are no mounting holes but the stand does have an adjustable leg for increased support and stability on uneven ground.
Storage Shelf: The storage shelf underneath is ideal for storing and organizing your saw accessories during use.
Good Weight Capacity: A huge 500lb weight capacity means that this stand is both heavy-duty and can easily handle the weight of most table saws.
Price: This is a very competitively priced stand that offers durability and excellent value for money.
Portability: This stand does not feature the foldable or compact design that many other table saw stands have.
6. AmazonBasics Folding Sawhorse – Set of 2, 900 Pound Capacity
Our Rating: 7.5/10
The AmazonBasics folding sawhorse is a lightweight, inexpensive solution if you are in need of a stand for your table saw. As the name suggests, it’s a basic model but will more than satisfy the needs of contractors and hobbyists alike.
A weight capacity of 900lbs is the key selling point here and while some people have had issues with quality control, most have found the legs to hold up to heavy-duty use for a variety of woodworking jobs.
The legs feature locking braces with non-slip rubber feet and fold-out stoppers to provide stability, even on uneven surfaces. The stand also comes pre-assembled and weighs only 10lbs for ease of portability around the jobsite.
The stands are also ergonomic with external hooks and dual storage trays to keep all required tools and accessories within a small footprint workstation.
The main downside to this stand is that it doesn’t come with a pre-built table surface meaning that you’ll need to use some plywood or other DIY solution in order to mount your table saw. This shouldn’t be an issue for onsite use but it does impact the portability and versatility of this product.
Fully Assembled: The stand comes fully assembled so has zero setup time or assembly.
Heavy-duty: A weight capacity of 900lbs means you can comfortably work with heavy stock.
Lightweight: A combined weight of 10lbs makes this an incredibly lightweight and portable stand.
Doesn’t Include Table Surface: You will either need to purchase or make a tabletop surface to support a table saw.
Not Height Adjustable: The stand height is 31” and non-adjustable so not recommended for those that have any back issues.
What to Look for in a Table Saw Stand
When you get a table saw stand, make sure you don’t get one that’s designed for a specific table saw. There’s a small chance it has grooves and attachments designed to fit a different table saw to yours – and that yours might not really fit properly. So, a thing to look out for is a saw that has ‘universal fit’. These are often simply stable, flat-topped tables on which your saw can sit – making it easy for beginners and hobbyists through to professional contractors.
You need a stand that can hold the weight of your table saw. Make sure you check the stand’s load limit before you buy it. You can get stands that hold a load all the way up to 1000 Lbs, but you can get others that also hold much smaller loads – so it’s really something to keep an eye on before making your purchase.
When looking at stability, keep an eye on the legs and wheels. If your table saw stand comes on legs, you might want to get one where the legs have adjustable length. This is a good option for people doing work on uneven surfaces (although we strongly avoid this regardless). If it comes on wheels, keep an eye on how far apart the wheels are and how large they are. As a general rule, the further apart the wheels, the better the stability. Similarly, with larger wheels, you’re more able to navigate the rough terrain from your truck to the jobsite.
Portability is a major differentiating factor among the table saw stands in this review. You can get a range of different styles, from pop ones that come on legs, to ones that stay standing and do not fold down at all, and of course stands on wheels. The wheels option is a very attractive option if you’re on the hunt for a stand for your jobsite tool. And with features like the gravity rise option on the Bosch model, these are incredibly easy to construct and deconstruct. Most of the models on legs fold down to some degree, but will need to be carried to and from the truck.
Our pick for the best table saw was the Powertec MT4009 Rolling Foldable Table Saw Stand. But, you need to make a decision based on your own personal preferences and circumstances – everyone’s circumstances differ! Consider how portable you need the stand to be, what the weight of your tool is, and the overall stability of the stand, before making a decision.
